6 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

Second Ministering Pastor on Day 3 of the Word Conference, themed, 'DOMINION', was, Dr. Mike Murdock of Wisdom Centre Church

***Bible Reading-Numbers 23:18, Deuteronomy 4:36, 1 Kings 17, Proverbs 4
***Your reaction to the Bible documents the future of your life.

*** Question Is the most important part of a conversation. Until you ask a question, others decide your knowledge.
***The most powerful thing in earth is you conversation. #1Kings 17 - instructions have expiration date; they have time frames. Divine instructions are in your mouth.
*** Learn how to receive: opportunities, problems, compliments etc, because all your life depends on how you receive things Bible Reference- Proverbs 4 ***I have a goal! What is your goal? #I learn for a living! I question for a living! What do you do for a living?

***Prayer is not the key to having money. #The only part of the Bible that you believe is what works for you. #Psalms 1:12 is the solution to financial success +++Biblical study-Daniel studied conversations with kings for several months. #Your worth depends on your ability to follow instructions Genesis 1:2
*** Questions expose deceivers -Proverbs 4:7, Deuteronomy 14:8:
***Joshua 1:7-8- Your belief system was adopted by you to create a change or comfort. #Your decisions decide your lifestyle. #The voice you trust would determine your future. #The most important place in watch is your secret place. #Decisions decide wealth; wealth is a supply word, money is when you have the money to buy things. Money is a spiritual weapon in life.

***6 things to improve my life ;that would change your life:
1. Learn the law of seed: Confession is my seed for forgiveness; listening is my seed for knowledge ; knowledge is my seed to changes. John 25:16. Seed is what I have been given to sow ; encouragement, mercy, forgiveness and more are seeds. Reaction to a man of God determines God's action to man.
2. Sow 7mins in the secret place. Never stay where there is no faith.
3. Choose your dream: Paint pictures of your dream, your future on the walls of your house Blue is God's favourite colour.
4. Identified 5 sources of failure and lavish them with honour. 5. Honour your parents so that it would be well with you. Wisdom is the ability to recognise difference in people. Honour is the process to acknowledge/ identify and respect someone for their difference ; honour is a seed.
6. Create your master information system: Questions create movement into your dreams.

***YOUR REACTION TO YOUR PARENTS DETERMINES GOD'S REACTION TO YOU. #It is your experience with God that becomes your message to people.

10 MARKS OF RISING CHAMPIONS

It's DAY 3 of the #Dominion Word Conference and has been progressively mind blowing for for God as #Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo of +Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) delivered an indelible message on the topic, "10 MARKS OF RISING CHAMPIONS." Enjoy!!!

 Bible Reading- 2 kings 4: 8-17;32-35, Habakkuk 1:8-12
***It's what you elevate that determines your rising. The Shunamite woman had a divine revelation concerning prophet Elisha that was why she gave the following to him:
-A Room of Elevation : She elevated his room above hers
- A bed of restoration
 - A Table of Revelation for the study of God's word
 - A Candlelight for illumination
 - A Seat of enthronement When God makes you a rising champion, you will get there somehow.

*** The following are thus 10 MARKS of rising champions:
MARK 1: They have an innate knowledge that they are born for more than what they are doing now.

MARK 2: There is this belief system that are going through a process in order to achieve progress.

MARK 3: God is calling you to what you cannot do by yourself. God will handle the battles he sends to you which is a process of your progress. Know that God is trying you. For example, Joseph was a champion. Read Psalm105.

MARK 4: When God believes you're ready, He begins to show the manifestation. Everything you're going through is part of your preparation.

MARK 5: God takes you through the process of servanthood before you get to the manifestation of Kingship. You cannot be a champion if you did not kneel before the carpenter ; Jesus Christ was a Carpenter. How can you have Dominion when you don't known conquest?

Moreso, the 6th MARK states that arising Champions awaits the discovery of older Champions ; they let people see their manifestation. Whatever you're going through us a process! Your change is coming.

The 7th MARK is that they think tactically and strategically. Remember the Shunamite woman? She was a woman of discipline. She thought futuristic ally for the long term. It is thus very important to know that rising Champions build new bridges to new relationships & networks.

MARK 8: They set new agenda in the area of calling. You are unnecessary if you're repeating what others are doing. Don't conform, learn to transform ; Don't complain, make a difference.

MARK 9: They manifest the grace of a warrior and a diplomat. You are called to fight as a soldier of God and also to build bridges to reach the lost. Connect with people and be nice

MARK 10: They carry enough grace to enforce change. We are to make a difference.

*** Know that the next place you're going as a champion, some people cannot follow you there, you have to shut the door.
*** Don't surround yourself with people that don't see what you see; surround yourself with people that provoke your destiny
!!! VISION GIVES BIRTH TO VISION!!!
***Who you hear determines who hears you. You are a rising Champion Don't be in isolation. Go with people who are going somewhere.

YOU'VE GOT DOMINION (2)

#Dr. Mensa Otabil was the 2nd speaker for the night and his topic was,
                                          " ORDER"
Learn to develop a 20 year life plan
***Definition of term
"Order" is simply a state in which everything functions productively in a proper and divine place.

*Bible Reading -Genesis 1:1-5
***The book of Genesis is a book of beginnings and self revelation
*** The 3 descriptions of the earth in the beginning are:
1. It was without form
2. It was void
3. It was dark, unilluminated
Thus the above descriptions are a description of a place of chaos. When God intervened, he created order on earth, because he is a God of order.
*** Know that having the Holyspirit in your life or in a nation does not mean that chaos would cease to persist.
***The 4 protocols God observed in order to fix the problem was to create:
***ILLUMINATION God created a productive earth out of a chaotic earth; He brought order into chaos; chaos is a constant threat.
!!!You can't fix a problem you can't see, that was why in the beginning of a chaotic earth, God said, "let there be light".
 *** DIFFERENTIATION
God differentiated the earth from the heaven.
 *** BOUNDARIES
People who leave chaotic life doesn't respect space Boundaries. There has to be boundaries in order for order to occur. God gives respect boundaries. God is a God of time and space.
!!!To be a person of order, you have to respect boundaries.
***TIME LINES
(Gen 1:15&15) Keep to time. Be timely.
***DOMINION Genesis 1:26) Take control, take charge, take a divine step.

 Go and have Dominion !!!

YOU'VE GOT DOMINION (1)

It's affirmative that the Word Conference, themed, "DOMINION", which started today, Wednesday, 23rd April, 2014, was an awesome night of bliss.

The conference preceded ministration of songs by the Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir (L.M.G.C) and #Micah Stampley.

For the furtherance of the service, the Lagos Metropolitan Pastor, #Pastor Paul Adefarasin, acknowledged the following speakers present for the conference: #Dr.& Mrs Mensa, + Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) and #Bishop Tudor Bismark of #New life Ministry International.

The first Minister/ Speaker, was +Bishop Tudor Bismark .

 * * * Bible Reading- Daniel 4:1-3 ;7:18, Matt16:17

THINKERS, STRATEGISTS, FUTURISTS, CULTURISTS ***Bible Ref: Proverbs 3:7
The heart of a man has several functions; one of it is to think. That's why your words are a reflection of your heart, your heart are a reflection of your environment. Your environment influences your temperament, opinions, lifestyle, etc. Your environment are a reflection of your knowledge.

***Biblical Study- David; he was a culturist
***The kingdom of God is past present and future; Jesus us the same yesterday, today and forever. ***Definition of Terms
***A thinker- a thought is a series of credible joint ideas to a credible desired end.
***A strategist is one who will take an idea in a thought and would throw it into time
***A futurist is one that says/ asks, "if the world arises 60yrs from now, would what we have, that is our decisions, would it still be relevant?"
***A culturist is one who takes our thoughts, ideas, and strategies and builds a culture around it. They ask, "can we depend on you for development in the next 50years?"
***In order to achieve all these we need to walk in dominion
 ***Biblical reference; study of:
 - Daniel 7; 20- Daniel, a teenage boy who refused to eat the King's food nor drink his wine as a result of something divine that came upon him. Though, he was highly educated and out skillful, the Angel instilled skills in his hands and understanding in his head. Daniel was full of dominion.
- Psalm 105: 23- Joseph was a thinker, strategist, futurist and culturist. He had dominion.
 - Deuteronomy 34:9-- Joshua had dominion
+++ John the Baptist was not a futurist but a culturist ****Jesus had divine dominion!!!
Confess this: I have divine dominion!!!

To be continued in the next post with Dr. Mensa Otabil...

My Beauty Notes(4)- POWER OF RESURRECTION

It's Resurrection Sunday!!!(woooooooooooooooo!!!) and yes, I am excited!!!! Surely Christ died for you and me in order for us to be made whole and thus resurrected on the third day to the wonderful glory of God. Hallelujah!!!

Acknowledging the presence of Minister Don Moen, Lagos Metropolitan Choir, Society of Performing Arts in Nigeria, KICEE( Fine Artist) and Lagos Orchestra.

It was indeed a higher realm of joyous and awesome service @House on the Rock (also known as the Rock Cathedral) today, Sunday, 20th April, 2014.

With Ministering Pastor, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Bible Reading was read from the book of Romans 6:1-9.
     I AM RESURRECTED
The Israelites passed through the Red Sea as slaves and they came out transformed into new life. The Egyptians were all swallowed up in the Sea, after which, Israel never ever saw any pharaoh again. But it didn't mean that they didn't encounter new challenges, they did. Now know that the old enemy that defines your limit/ boundary, you will see them no more. It's the Lord's saying that He will do a new thing, He will take you from slavery to freedom.
***Biblical Reference: "The encounter between John the Baptist and Jesus, behold the man of God." Jesus said to John that the fulfilment of righteousness of my baptism is to present the picture of my death, burial and resurrection before all men. Therefore his death on the cross of calvary is a certainty that we have been delivered from sin and has paid it all completely and has risen into eternal glory. ***Deliverance gives you the re newness of life.

The significance of the Religious Symbol of the Cross.
They are thus identified in the following 3:
 1. The historical relevance of the cross is a way to show how much God's love is towards us and how much He would go with us. Thus, there's no trouble you face that is too big for God to fix.
 2. Romans 6:4, brings us to the second point, "Have personal connectivity with the cross and the meaning of resurrection of Christ on Sunday morning." Life comes with many crosses (your job may be your cross, for some it could be their marriage, children etc)
--- Biblical reference(Paul). The good news is that you may be in trouble right now, but u won't be in trouble forever because Jesus Christ arose triumphantly for your sake.
 3. Recognise that the cross is an epitome centre of the power of resurrection. The new devils in your life cannot be tougher than the power of resurrection because you've been saved.

***Confess this, "Thank you Lord Jesus because I am saved!!!"

The Service ended beautifully as Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin shared the benediction and afterwards a divine session of praise and worship with Minister Don Moen exhilarated the atmosphere.

My Beauty Notes (3)- THE DOUBLE CURE

Hello great minds,
Its another divine Sunday here on my blog where I share with you the divine messages received from God's church .
So it was our Communion Service @ HOTR
Ministering was Pastor Kola Oladunmoye
-Bible Reading - 1Corinthians 11:23; Isaiah 53:4-5

THE DOUBLE CURE
Confession: I have the double cure
***The fact that things ain't going according to your vision doesn't mean that your vision isn't working; God is at work
Biblical references: Study of Abraham, Moses
***Its not so much of what you know; but of what you remembered
---Please take this exercise: Repeat the word, "silk" several times, as loud as you can......Now answer this question, "What do cows drink?" :-) Now you may have responded, "milk", but the correct answer is,
"water", why? Because the brain has been positioned in a way that it could remember only that which was said repeatedly, that is why anytime you forget, you limit what God can do for you. Remember when the disciples of Christ didn't even exhibit that they cared or remember when Jesus said that the one that would betray me is with me on this table; on that day of crucifixion, no one remembered until after the cock crowed twice and Judas had betrayed Jesus, that Peter remembered Jesus Christ's prophecy regarding the betrayal....(Read Luke 22 for further reference).

** * You are what you eat
The Lord's body is not the same thing as the body of Christ; you and I am the body of Christ, while the Lord's body is the Physical body of the Lord which is heaven.
*** Communion is being acquitted to Christ and that all sicknesses and problems you are going through has been carried away on the cross. The bread signifies the body of Christ, the wine signifies his blood. When you eat and drink of the communion meal as a token of the remembrance of Christ, you shall be completely healed.

Thank you so much for taking out time to read this.
God bless you richly!

DON'T BE DECEIVED: Look beyond the mirror (Series 1)

Hello great mind,
Welcome on board. If you are just viewing this blog for the first time, you are right on time and I'm indeed honoured to have you here. In the maiden edition of my blog, I gave a little exercise, which stated, " spare a moment, take a good view of you in the mirror, what do you see?" (please view archive - 28th March, 2014 for more). Do enjoy as you read this.

DON'T BE DECEIVED: Look beyond the mirror

Many years ago, there was this teenage girl, young Temi; she was extremely conscientious about her physical features, and as a result, became addicted to the mirror. She would look in the mirror many times in a day that almost everything she did was centred to the mirror. "Typical of females," you may say; I agree, (surprisingly some males are mirror addicts too). But what did young Temi do wrong? Young Temi became very bothered about herself and allowed the mirror shape her mentally negatively; as a result of what she saw, she consistently thought and said to herself, "I'm too skinny and short, I'm very ugly because of the terrible pimples on my face, my head is not well shaped, oh no!...she worried."

She never believed when her friends and family told her that she was unique and beautiful, but was more concerned about what her childlike vision revealed to her in the mirror.

Many a times she would cry in front of the mirror and wallow in self pity because she simply felt she wasn't good looking enough, compared to many of her mates. Could you imagine young Temi's thoughts? What a problematic problem she had.

But thank goodness to the very day young Temi finally awoke from her dreams; she realised that she had been in materialistic bondage of how the mirror defined, confined and restricted her thought. It was after a divine message she received from church that she began to develop a good sense of self. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Saviour; that was the beginning of her freedom. She then steadfastly meditated on the word of God, prayed, sought for the direction of the Holyspirit, constantly made positive confessions about herself, read, listened and watched motivational and inspirational messages and kept Godly companions; just as the Psalmist said, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...." (KJV-read Psalms 1:1-6 for more). Today, young Temi is an inspirer to many :-)

Now, some are like Young Temi and some had been like young Temi. For some, you may know someone that knows someone that knows someone in this kind of situation. Whatever your case may be, I'm glad you are reading this. Read 1Corinthians  13:11. That story of young Temi is the life story of me. So you see, change is constant; it's never too late to make a change. Please read on and spread the word.

It's an obvious fact that mirror gives a physical reflection of what's in front it; so when you take a look in the mirror, what you see is simply an exact physical representation of yourself, which is good. But if all you can see in the mirror are your faults, problems, weaknesses, disadvantages and all other  negatives, please, COME OFF IT!!! If your mirror projects a negative image and mentality of you, break it! Give the mirror what you want to receive and how you want to be viewed. Now take a look at this illustration.

                     Describe these glasses of water

Many of us may have encountered situations where we had to describe a glass of water as in the pictures above as either half full or half empty. If you see it as half empty, you are pessimistic, but if u see it as half full, you are optimistic. So which are you?

Know that we've got the authority to think and see the best of ourselves. However, you shouldn't let the materialism of the mirror deceive you; for you are a subject; the mirror is just an object, you give; the mirror receives, you use the mirror; the mirror doesn't use you, you've got the divine breath of life; the mirror is absolutely lifeless, above all, you are God made (read Genesis 1: 26-31); the mirror is just man made. You don't let the mirror define you; you define it.

I tell you, the moment you eradicate that negative mindset gotten as a result of what you see, the moment you would be free. You would even realise that the way you think of you, would affect the way you act and the way you act would affect the way everyone around you perceive you. Just as Dr. Robert Schuller once said, "you are what you think about all day long." So stay positive!

According to an article I read recently, "From early in the first year, most babies smile, babble, and laugh at their chubby little faces reflected back at them. In fact, it's one of their favourite activities; they enjoy the company of that other person looking back at them (http://www.momtastic.com/parenting). Even though they are babies, their mindsets are innocent and positive; how much more we who have come to a great knowledge of our being and can discern our left from our right; we know better. Read 1Corinthians 13:11.

Look beyond the mirror! Looking beyond the mirror is looking further away from your present situation or circumstances. Distractions in life are inevitable, so much so that they could mislead, cause derail, leave you worried or could even make you give up. But if you know how to deal with them; rightly discover who you are, if you are applying an excellent mindset, if you are exhibiting a positive attitude and if have acknowledged the divine supremacy of God, distractions would only be a necessary bridge to attain greats heights.

Look up to God; He cannot and doesn't deceive, He makes us glad, therefore rely on everything he says because that's what matters ( say this: I am what God says I am). God has given you the authority to make things work well for you when you love Him ( read Romans 8:28).

My Beauty Notes (2)- BUILDING A MEMORIAL

Hello great mind,
It's another beautiful beautiful Sunday and I say that I'm very happy to share this with you here on my blog. Enjoy!!!

It's today's message at House on the Rock Church by #Pastor Paul Adefarasin

---Bible Reading: Act 10:1-8 (emphasis on verse 3&4)

BUILDING A MEMORIAL
 ***I live on memorial!
Prayer is an essential foundation of every christian and of every church. Prayer is what you mean in your heart to say, not what you say. Know that you can't have prayer in your house without having it in your heart ; prayer is a natural of the heart, for God hears the heart.

Do you know that when you pray, you edify (rebuild, repair) your life? It's the reason why you have to pray in order to renovate your new level (of success, career, job, breakthrough...) and when you get to that new level, your prayer ought not reduce but intensify. You've got to increase your prayer. There is no option /alternative to prayer that is why you need to stop talking to people about your problems, but start talking  God. For when you start talking to God, you cannot and can never be afraid of anyone. Some people pray once in a week no wonder
they are week/ weakling.

Biblical reference - A brief study of Cornelius, an Italian, a Gentile
 1. He was regimented; he was structured
 2. He was Prayer Full
 3. He was not a spare tire but a driving wheel
 4. He was generous; he was an outflow
***If you don't increase your outflow, you're gonna decrease your inflow. Pay no mine to stingy people! 5. He had vision
Therefore, you must have a consistent pra yer life that precedes a problem. Know that food is to/for the body and prayer is to/ for the soul. You should develop the ethic of prayer because when you are prayer full, you have access to God so much so that things (like money,fame...) that daunts other people do not bother you.
Ask yourself this question, "Are you full or are you empty?"

*** #Cornelius' alms giving were brought to God's hearing / memorial; a memorial is a quick fix; build it when there is no emergency not when there is emergency. God does not suffer from amnesia; He remembers. He has called you to be recipient and channel. In the day if trouble, will God remember you? Have you built a memorial? If you haven't, start NOW! It's never too late

#Bible Ref. 2chronicles 16:10-12; Mark 12:42 Great Mind, Prayer changes things, do not neglect it. God bless you. Amen!

Bible verse for the day Psalm 27: 4, "One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in his temple".

TURNING SET-BACKS INTO COMEBACKS

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES- The Amy Purdy Story

#Amy Purdy had to overcome tremendous obstacle at a very young age. When she was 19, she lost both her legs to meningitis. As the result of the meningitis, she also had to have a kidney transplant. Through the obstacles and setbacks, she overcame her physical limitations and through the hardships, developed in an inner strength and confidence that propelled her to becoming a world champion in adaptive snowboarding and earned her bronze medal in the recent paralympics for the USA.
For Purdy, being a world champion and bronze medal winner wasn't enough, so she is now on Dancing With The Stars and doing extremely well.
Obviously, #Amy Purdy knows how to turn a set-back into a comeback. She experienced a major crucible of life and has been purified by its refining fire. Through that process, she gained a confidence that will carry her a lifetime and in the process, has set and example that anyone could look to for inspiration! Thanks +#J. Warrington.
We have all experienced moments or will experience moments in our lives that challenge us and our reaction to those moments will determine how they shape us; not if, but how.

What do you think? Have you heard of Amy Purdy? How have you turned your set-backs into comebacks?
